I wonder if the actual car will be there. They sure do have a pretty aggressive schedule - a <B>2010</B> Fisker Karma? GM has been toiling with Volt since 2007 and are not expected to have an actual car in the dealerships (never mind quantity) until November 2010. Sounds like 2011 Volt to me, and Fisker Automotive is no GM despite of all GM's troubles. How are they going to pull it off?Fuelzillahttp://fuelzilla.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037814230181017218.post-29855029767585655652009-04-07T14:47:00.000-04:002009-04-07T14:47:00.000-04:00I&#39;m surprised you didn&#39;t mention one of the largest differences between Tesla &amp; Fisker&#39;s vehicles - Fisker is building plug-in hybrids (gas &amp; electric), where Tesla is purely electric (I assume they will continue to be).<BR/><BR/>As a consumer I looked at both options (Roadster vs Karma), putting aesthetics &amp; size aside, I felt a sense of comfort knowing that if I wanted to go on a long road trip (+300 miles), or a series of trips without having the facility or opportunity to re-charge my battery - that with the Fisker I could stop at a gas station and refill just like I&#39;m used to.<BR/><BR/>Everything else about these cars/companies aside, I think that investors, along with their check-books, will likely follow consumers like myself in recognizing this profound difference and its impact.
