One of the problems for the long side, is other than company announcements, the Tesla name isn't going to get the same kind of PR that a company like Apple gets. If Tesla doesn't get the Toyota RAV4 on the market when it is scheduled, they will show they aren't up to the task of building a car, which will hurt the stock. They are being likened to the Delorean venture, and I have been one of the people making the comparison.
