We need a electric vehicle similar to the Toyota Prius that charges the battery as it goes and is not a plug in;(I'm tired of paying the electric company so much money so I don't need to be plugging in so I can pay them more). Toyota needs to eliminate the gas engine and use something like natural gas and battery combination. I know someone can come up with something useful for the average American person.

Not only is Nissan fudging thier mileage numbers, but I've seen marketing material from them claiming 367 mpg. This number is the CAFE-credit number which has an additional EV multiplier on it. It is NOT the true mileage of the vehicle!

Since the Toyota RAV4EV could go over 100 miles in real world driving conditions with 27kWh of heavier NiMH on board, I'm sure the smaller, lighter LEAF will be able to meet 100 miles of range with 24kWh of energy on board.
