What if you were sitting on hundreds of billions of quaranteed profits over the next decades from a certain commodity (say oil) but somebody came up with a better idea, and the press got to it before you did? Maybe a strategy of of slowly bleeding the credibility out of it might do the trick and avoid a further tarnishing of your image that might result from say buying the patent and making sure the technology doesn't end up in non ICE cars like Chevron did with NiMh technology. I was introduced to the world of "Technology Investment Bankers". They told me that if I go public (Nasdaq OTC -- penny stocks) and let them take care of the trading, they would immediately provide me with a million dollars. <br /><br />I didn't take the bait, but I always wondered how many hopeful small entrepreneurs get entangled in such schemes. The scientists at EEstore are probably working like hell trying to make the tech work, but in the mean time traders are making a killing pumping the stock up or down (Pump 'n Dump). I'm not sure what word to apply to the lack of clarity on the existence of a prototype, and hinting that the product is just around the corner.<br /><br />I think a prototype is an important piece of the Zenn stock price puzzle, since the capacitor material is new and its properties are unknown.<br /><br />If some small prototype was demonstrated over a range of conditions, I think there is a chance the EEStor device can be built someday. I've followed this story for a long time, and owned shares of ZNN for a while, but as far as I can tell, nobody has ever seen a prototype. <br /><br />In the past Clifford has made the strange comment that he's not interested in "lab" prototypes, he wants full scale production. I concluded that he's never seen a working prototype of any kind.<br /><br />It's not plausible that this device can be developed from newly developed raw material to sophisticated energy storage device that will be used in a consumer automotive application.<br /><br />EEStor may be working diligently to develop the technology. But Zenn is scamming the public.
